According to Buddy, the key to jumping rope is to be light on the balls your feet. Your upper body should be relaxed, with your rope barely skimming the floor as you jump.
In this video, Buddy gives a crash course on the foundation of jump rope training, which transfers over to learning how to jump rope sprint. A training method regularly used by Mr. Lee incorporates four bounces with both feet and for bounces moving forward for an eight count, and again (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8), and continues, increasing the speed with each set, while moving forward.
